Aho Ssan is an electronic music composer based in Paris, who makes his own digital instruments. Between abrasive noise and afro-futuristic music, partly inspired by «Simulacres et Simulation», a text by French sociologist Jean Baudrillard, Aho Ssan’s music plays with synthesis and simulation, while inspired by his own experience of growing up in the projects as a black man. His work takes a critical look at the facades of inclusiveness and equality, in how they diverge from his own experiences of discrimination and racism. His first LP Simulacrum was released in 2021 on Subtext Recordings.
