Lettera 22

Matteo Castro and Riccardo Mazza launched Lettera 22 in 2010 by releasing their debut album Negative Tongue on a double-cassette courtesy of Castro’s label Second Sleep. Their music is a unique blend of raw noises, wild field recordings and saturated tape loops. They aim to develop their personal vision in the tradition of concrete music through digital and analog devices, creating what could be described as sound portraits of our human lives. Their concerts always maintain components of improvisation, restricted within certain structural and dynamic paths.
