Digital Found Footage with Sylvia Schedelbauer

In this three-day workshop, participants will create short films from pre-existing, digital(ized) «found» footage, experimenting with montage and storytelling strategies. The workshop will include a brief history of structural film and various found footage filmmaking practices, examples of experimental moving image works using these techniques, and a hands-on section during which participants will (individually or collectively) work on their own films.

Please bring a portable computer equipped with video-editing software of your choosing and a selection of found footage sourced from online videos which you would like to work with. Beginners welcome!
