By gathering archive pictures or by gleaning registers of diverse manipulations, filmmaker Sylvia Schedelbauer deploys a practice of dynamic found footage. She causes sensible collisions between an intimate story and historical sequences. Her hybrid compositions deploy ever-appearing flux-images that question the modes of our perceptions of memory. In a radical and stroboscopic gesture, the filmmaker draws striking landscapes. Two programs composed of four films (non flicker and full flicker) explore the work of «one of the most impressing moving picture artist of the last decade» (Tony Pipolo, Artforum).
