Christian (Film) Business : Focus on christiansploitation
Shot with absurdly low budgets in Iowa, Tennessee and Pennsylvania, the films we are showing in this cinerama were not produced to be distributed in movie theaters, but screened in various places of worship by the religious communities that commissioned them. No soporific succession of sermons, they draw on genre cinema (horror, fantasy, sci-fi) and pack a seductive message. With a nation-wide distribution, these films have attracted more spectators than any blockbuster of the time thus generating substantial incomes... You too can contribute to the cult of LUFF: go to our ephemeral chapel where God’s Angry Man (Werner Herzog, 1981) will be playing in a hellish loop, and deposit your offering.
